Copyright aspects of webpages

Copyright aspects of webpages protection of computer programmes and its present statutory provisions governed by Act number 121/2000 Sb., of the copyright and rights related to copyright (Copyright Act), and its extension and application on one of the fastest developing area of law, such as websites and web presentations. Another important objective of this thesis is the critical analysis and application of the most recent judgements of Czech and foreign courts and also judgements of the Court of Justice of the European Union in the area of computer programmes and internet law itself. First chapter deals with the history and development of the copyright with particular focus on protection of computer programmes, databases and legal aspects of behaviour on the internet, respectively World Wide Web. Second chapter is focused on definition of terms which are defined to be used in the following chapters in purpose of application of provisions of the Copyright Act. Chapter also provides detailed description of functioning of web presentations and description of its unique parts which create the web presentation itself. SEO in terms of redesign and organic search

This thesis deals with the decline in decrease of traffic to the website at their redesign or significant intervention into their content, in terms of optimizing websites for search engines. This issue is known acronym for SEO - Search Engine Optimization.
The search part focuses on the functioning of the search engine algorithms, factors affecting traffic to sites and their success in the search results. It also describes the appropriate procedures for the planned redesign, a significant interference with the content of sites that always leads to a decrease traffic from organic search. These procedures should eliminate a decrease in traffic to a minimum.
The practical part shows the functionality of the procedures described in the theoretical part of the work on real cases of websites of various sectors and the difficulties of those sites that have ignored these recommendations or not incorporated them correctly.

Mobile touch-screen devices and website usability

The theoretical part of this thesis deals with the role of usability in relation to the expansion of mobile touch-screen devices. It studies how the purchase decisions of users of these devices can be influenced and how to avoid unnecessary web usability obstacles. The practical part examines mobile traffic and usability of selected online stores. Based on the practical and theoretical knowledge there are recommendations for creating an accessible and usable website, evaluation of the potential benefits and calculation of payback period of an given investment.

V teoretické části popisuji prvky webových prezentací z pohledu zákazníka, marketingový mix v podmínkách internetu a možnosti certifikace internetových obchodů. V praktické části jsou popsány internetové obchody - nespecializované, prodávající široký sortiment potravin a internetové obchody specializované, zaměřené na určitý druh zboží. Dále kamenné obchody umožňující nákup na internetu a internetové obchody s potravinami v zahraničí. Práce obsahuje srovnání webových prezentací nespecializovaných internetových obchodů a srovnání různých možností nákupu podle času a ceny.

Web presentation concept of Pfanner

This thesis focuses on marketing communication on internet, also on specifics of internet as a communication medium and shows a wide range of possibilities how to use various online tools in marketing communication. Second part of this publication describes and analyses web presentation of Pfanner company which is evaluated according to given criteria. Recommendations are given on the basis of this analysis and comparation with competition.
